Vote of Condolence on the Passing of Architect Nuno Portas

DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte expresses its condolences on the passing of architect Nuno Portas this past Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Nuno Portas’s theoretical thinking influenced DINÂMIA'CET’s scientific culture in the fields of architecture and urban studies. The breadth and cross-disciplinary nature of his political and methodological work repeatedly brought him close to researchers such as Vítor Matias Ferreira, Isabel Guerra, José Manuel Henriques, and Sandra Marques Pereira, with whom he developed projects.

On December 16, 2020, Iscte awarded Nuno Portas the title of Doctor Honoris Causa. We share the memory of that moment of great symbolic value for the institution.
