Following the participation of DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte researchers Inês Nascimento, Raquel Lopes, Lorenzo Stefano Iannizzotto and Elian Stefa, under the scientific coordination of Alexandra Paio, in the Prémio Universidades da Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa Millennium, the project Immaterial Matters was selected for the final shortlist of six projects and is currently on display at Garagem Sul – CCB, as part of the exhibition Lighter.

Lighter charts a path through experiments with new models of material policies and processes, as they interact with rapidly changing ecosystems.

The shortlisted projects were developed in collaboration with the Triennale’s curatorial team, forming part of the main exhibitions — Fluxes, Spectres, and Lighter — inaugurated between 2 and 4 October.

The winners in each category — Master’s and Research — were announced on 4 October and received an award designed by Álvaro Siza, produced from marble waste sourced in Estremoz.

In total, 35 submissions were received from 18 universities, including seven from Portugal.

The selection, made by a collective composed of Carla Leitão, Cruz Garcia, Dubravka Sekulić, Nick Axel, and the 2025 Triennale curatorial team, values critical and open approaches to contemporary architectural practice, under the theme Make it Lighter.
